We supply customised emergency showers to meet the special requirements and needs of different industries. All safety showers and eye wash units are manufactured according to AFS 1997:7, AFS 2020:1, EN 15154 and ANSI Z358.1.
Tank safety showers
Used in environments where water is not available, where water pressure is insufficient or where there is a need for temperate water.
Temperature-controlled safety showers
Used in processes and areas where heated water is required, but where there is only a connection to cold water or when it is too costly to connect hot water to the safety shower.
Frost-protected safety showers
Used in areas where there is a risk of water freezing, e.g. in unheated premises or outdoors.
Indoor safety showers
Safety showers for floor, wall or ceiling mounting indoors or where there is no risk of sub-zero temperatures. Easily customised with a wide range of options.
Safety shower cubicles
Installed where the surrounding area and equipment must not be exposed to water, where there is no drainage or where the safety shower equipment needs to be protected.

Regulations for safety showers and eye wash units
To create a safe work environment, there are a number of national and European regulations and recommendations regarding safety shower equipment.
"The purpose of the safety shower is to quickly extinguish a fire in clothing or to quickly remove a substance from the body." (Swedish Work Environment Authority regulation AFS 1999:7)

Safety showers in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX)
In industries where flammable gases and liquids are handled or where dust, vapour or mist is generated that can create an explosive atmosphere, it is important to ensure that the safety shower equipment meets the relevant ATEX requirements.
All FSP-Tech®'s safety showers and eye wash units in a standard version
- are suitable for use in explosive environments in zones 1 & 2
- has ATEX certification for category EX II 2G
- has ATEX risk assessment and statement from TÜV RheinlandIndustrie Service
ATEX certification for category EX II 2D (dust) can be supplied on request.
In cases where safety showers and eye wash units are customised with various options, it is important that the options are ATEX classified as well.
