Biological odor control
How odor can be effectively controlled in various industrial and commercial areas without posing a threat to humans and the environment.
The possible range of applications for odor controllers ranges from recycling through composting to water treatment, gastronomy and many other sectors with high levels of odor.
How biological odor control works
The water is mixed with a biological additive and then atomized into a very fine water mist using nozzles. The combination of water mist and biological additive can bind to unpleasant odor molecules and neutralize the odor. The biological additive is harmless to people, animals and the environment.
The extremely small droplets, approximately 10–20 µm in size, can remain suspended in the air for an extended period of time. This gives them sufficient time to come into contact with and bind to odor molecules. At the same time, only very small amounts of water are used, preventing significant amounts of water from accumulating on the ground.
How the technology works
The biological odor control solution is atomized into a very fine water mist. The droplets can then capture unpleasant odor molecules in the air.
When the odor molecules bind to the solution, their size and weight increase. They therefore become too heavy to remain suspended in the air and fall to the ground, where they are broken down.
In this way, the odor molecules are neutralized and the unpleasant odor is eliminated.
Effective odor control with minimal water consumption
According to tests conducted, the solutions can eliminate 60–80% of unpleasant odors in accordance with the UNI EN 13725 standard.
The biological solution acts immediately and provides a long-lasting effect. The amount of biological additive used is also very small – typically only 0.1–0.3%, depending on the type of odor being treated.
The technology can be used for odor control in a wide range of industrial and commercial environments, where effective odor treatment needs to be combined with low water consumption and consideration for people and the environment.
