EXAIR air amplifiers

EXAIR airflow boosters produce a large volume flow at high speed through the so-called Coanda effect. The airflow amplifiers are highly effective in increasing airflow in various industrial applications and require minimal maintenance. A reliable and cost-effective option to improve both airflow and working environment in industry.

How are air amplifiers used in industry?

Here are some examples of how to use air amplifiers in different industrial processes.

Ventilation of welding fumes: Effectively remove fumes and vapours from welding processes.

Cooling of components: Quickly cool down components that have been heated during processing.

Drying: Remove moisture from surfaces after cleaning or processing.

Cleaning of machined components: Blow off chips and dust from machined components.

Heat distribution in moulds and ovens: Distribute heat evenly in industrial ovens and moulds.

Ventilation of confined spaces: Improve air circulation in hard-to-reach areas.

Remove dust: Collect and remove dust from work areas.

Remove vapours: Remove harmful vapours from tanks and containers.

How do EXAIR air amplifiers work?

Air amplifiers use Coanda effects, a fundamental principle of fluid dynamics, to create a powerful air flow. By using a small amount of compressed air as a power source, the airflow amplifier draws in large volumes of ambient air and produces a high volume, high velocity output.

Compressed air flows through the air inlet (1) into a ring-shaped chamber (2). It is then choked through a small ring nozzle (3) at high speed. This primary air flow follows the Coanda profile (4), which directs it towards the outlet. A low pressure area is created in the centre (5), which induces a large volume flow of ambient air into the primary airflow. The combined flow of primary and ambient air exits the Air Amplifier with a large volume flow and high velocity.

What are the benefits of EXAIR air amplifiers?

EXAIR air amplifiers are designed to be maintenance-free, quiet and energy efficient, which is good for both the working environment and productivity.

EXAIR Air Amplifiers

  • No moving parts: The air amplifiers have no moving parts, which means they are maintenance-free and have a long lifetime.
  • No electricity required: The air amplifiers are powered by compressed air, which eliminates the need for electrical connections and leads to increased safety.
  • Low noise level: The air amplifiers are designed to be silent, contributing to a better working environment.
  • High efficiency: They can produce a high volume air flow and high velocity with a small amount of compressed air, making them very energy efficient.
  • Adjustable flow: The airflow can be easily adjusted by opening or closing the valve, providing the flexibility to customise the flow to meet specific needs.
  • Many uses: The air amplifiers can be used for a variety of applications, such as ventilation, cooling, drying, cleaning and dust collection.
  • Compact and lightweight design: A compact and lightweight design makes the air amplifiers easy to install and move when needed.
  • No RF interference: As the air amplifiers do not use electricity, they do not generate radio frequency interference, which can be important in sensitive environments.
