Adjustable Air Amplifier™

Adjustable airflow booster for cooling, blowing and ventilating

EXAIR's high-efficiency airflow booster is adjustable for different applications and has an adjustable air gap. The flow can be set from a light 'breeze' flow to a powerful 'storm' flow, and the exhaust ring can be locked in place with the knurled locking ring for stable and safe operation.

Adjustable air amplifier for power and flow control

The power and flow of the Adjustable Air Amplifier™ is changed by turning the outlet end to open or close the continuous air gap. When the desired performance is achieved, the knurled ring can be tightened to lock the flow at that setting. By utilising the Coanda effect, a fundamental principle of fluid dynamics, Adjustable Air Amplifiers provide a simple and cost-effective means of circulating air, moving smoke, vapours and light materials.

The Adjustable Air Amplifier is available in aluminium or stainless steel for the food industry, higher temperatures (204°C) and corrosive environments. Customised materials, mounting options (flanges) and sizes are also available.

Advantages compared to fans:

  • Compact, lightweight and portable
  • No electricity required
  • No moving parts - maintenance free
  • Easy to connect to channels
  • Immediate start/stop
  • Variable power and flow
  • No RF interference

Advantages compared to Venturi and Ejectors:

  • More air with less compressed air demand
  • Higher flow amplification
  • No internal barriers
  • Complies with OSHA pressure and sound level requirements
  • Quiet

Areas of use:

  • Ventilation of welding fumes
  • Cooling of hot parts
  • Drying of wet parts
  • Cleaning of machined parts
  • Distribution of heat in ovens/moulds
  • Ventilation of confined spaces
  • Dust collection
  • Exhaust gases from tanks

EXAIR Compressed air products are designed to optimise and streamline various industrial processes, and to improve the working environment.

The product range includes air knives, blow nozzles, blow guns, pneumatic vacuum conveyors and products for discharging static electricity.

EXAIR products are used in the manufacturing industry for

  • blowing clean using compressed air
  • cooling
  • drying
  • surface treatment
  • material transport (vacuum conveyors)
  • industrial vacuum cleaning (wet and dry materials)
  • removal of static electricity

EXAIR was founded in 1983 with the aim of providing the manufacturing industry with safer and more efficient air-powered products. The basic principle was to manufacture and supply the market with high quality products at a reasonable price.
