Ultrasonic Personal Air Sampler (UPAS) v2.1 PLUS

Access Sensor Technology's UPAS is a compact filter sampler based on ultrasonic pump technology. UPAS is smaller, lighter, quieter, more affordable and easier to use than conventional air sampling equipment. In addition, UPAS is equipped with a GPS module that can be used to log time-resolved data on the position of the device.

UPAS v2.1 PLUS adds time-resolved measurement of PM (particulate matter) and motion (acceleration) to the original UPAS v2.0. These new sensors provide data useful for evaluating the spatial and temporal aspects of exposure. By coupling the optical PM sensor and the integrated filter sampler directly into the device, the user can normalise the PM2.5 sensor data against the ”golden standard” measure of exposure obtained from filter-based sampling.

The UPAS is quiet and light enough to be worn directly in a person's breathing zone. The interchangeable size-selective sampling inlets and filter cartridges integrate directly with the pump, meaning no cumbersome tubing or tape attachments are needed.
