DTH - Hollow cone spray nozzle

The BETE bi-directiona DTH series is designed for Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) and features two orifices, each forming a hollow cone pattern, with one spraying downward and the other spraying upward. The upward spraying cone reduces the pressure drop across the absorber and increases the average droplet residence time

The DTH nozzle is also available with unequal flows in the cones, such as 70% upward spraying and 30% downward spraying.

  • DHT sprays both upwards and downwards, resulting in a reduced pressure drop and an increased residence time of the droplets.
  • The standard material is SNBSC, but other materials are also available if required.

Each type of nozzle has a specific flow rate, spray pattern and droplet size. To optimise the spray process, it is important to understand how different parameters affect the choice of spray nozzle and type of solution.
